Cure One to Cure All

As researchers continue to focus on over 80 Autoimmune Diseases individually, it is likely that they will identify common keys to the individual cures. This is why it is crucial that we bring more awareness to the connection and provide more support to research. Operation Shooting Star is dedicated to raising awareness while committed to sending 100% of net proceeds directly to research.

An estimated

24 Million Americans

suffer from one or more of over

Autoimmune diseases result from a dysfunction of the immune system. The immune system protects you from disease and infection. Sometimes, though, the immune system can produce autoantibodies that attack healthy cells, tissues, and organs. This can lead to autoimmune disease. Autoimmune diseases can affect any part of the body, some are life-threatening, and most are Human Immune System debilitating and require a lifetime of treatment. There are treatments available to reduce the symptoms and effects from many autoimmune diseases, but cures have yet to be discovered. In honor of Autoimmune Disease Awareness month, we are joining the fight against autoimmune disease and other immune disorders by raising funds for medical research at Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason (BRI). Every day BRI is spending $6/minute across 25 research labs to discover ways to predict, prevent, halt, treat and ultimately eliminate more than 80 autoimmune diseases. You can help support their efforts and join the fight by donating directly here. Thank you!
